Chapman Creek Hatchery Needs Your Donation To Enhance Salmon Stocks.

Our Volunteers are Priceless
Lets face it, salmon stocks are in decline. 2022 marks our 35th year of salmon enhancement operations on Chapman Creek in Sechelt British Columbia. You can help save salmon.
Public involvement programs such as ours validate that salmon that are released return year upon year. The birds and the bears benefit, tourism benefits and all communities benefit from first nations harvest to sport fishing opportunities.
Two full time staff and 25 volunteers whose average age of 70+ work tirelessly to enhance salmon, provide tours and maintain our operations for the benefit of all to enjoy.
This spring we have released 70,000 pink salmon, and will release 23,000 Coho smolts and 68,000 Chinook into Chapman Creek. They will then make their way out to the ocean to continue their life cycle until they return to spawn.
Proceeds from Membership fees and donations are a very important source of operating revenue for the Sunshine Coast Salmonid Enhancement Society. Funds are allocated to the operations of Chapman Creek Hatchery, our education programs, summer camps, improvements to our grounds, and the health & maintenance of the fish. Your Support is desperately needed. From only $20.00 per year for a single Membership you too can help enhance our Salmonid populations.
All donations are eligible for tax receipts.
