Explore the Wild Camps

Summer Camp 2026!
SCIENCE, WILDERNESS SKILLS, and ADVENTURES OUTSIDE!
Sunshine Coast Salmonid Enhancement Society is offering camps for kids aged 7-11! “Explore the Wild” in our local creek, forest, and ocean ecosystem through scientific investigation, exploration, outdoor games, and wilderness skill-building activities.
Camps are based out of the education building at Chapman Creek Hatchery. Activities take us into the forest, along Chapman Creek, and to Davis Bay. All activities are designed to be hands-on, challenging, and fun!
Our team will ensure your child has a safe and engaging experience. Program leaders have extensive experience in outdoor programming and certified first aid training.
Each day will showcase a new level of ecosystem to explore. Bring your curiosity of the natural world and develop your skills of observation, scientific study and wilderness survival.

Thank you, camper parents, for your feedback and recommendations:
“My son LOVED IT. It was the best summer camp he attended – ever. The staff was unbelievable engaging, kind, approachable, fun, informative and responsible. We loved hearing about all the adventures. I thought there was a great mixture of learning, fun, experimenting, activities, practical stuff like what to do when lost in the woods, fire making… Seriously, best camp on the Coast!”
“Our daughter loved the camp more than any other camp she went to this summer. She was most excited to put into practice the skills she learned.”
“I think the biggest disappointment was no ice cream at The Pier (ha!)” (Noted! – Staff)
“The boys most anticipated the survival challenge on the final day.”
“The girls had a great time, so much so that they asked to go in again, so they had two weeks!”
Help Send a Kid to Summer Camp
A legacy has been created in memory of Jordan P. Beaudoin.
Jordan was born here on the coast and loved fishing, children and the outdoors. He will be honored and remembered by your donation to send a kid to camp. Any amount helps to send a child to the Sunshine Coast Salmonid Enhancement Society’s Kids camps. Thank you for your generosity and support.
