Explore the Wild

Explore the Wild Camps

SCIENCE, WILDERNESS SKILLS and ADVENTURES OUTSIDE!

Sunshine Coast Salmonid Enhancement Society is offering camps for kids!  “Explore the Wild” in our local creek, forest and ocean ecosystem through scientific investigation, exploration, outdoor games, and wilderness skill building activities.

Camps are based out of the classroom at Chapman Creek Hatchery.  Activities take us into the forest, along Chapman Creek, and to Davis Bay.  All activities are designed to be hands-on, challenging, and fun!

Our team will ensure your child has a safe and engaging experience. Program leaders have extensive experience in outdoor programming and certified first aid training.

“My son LOVED IT. It was the best summer camp he attended – ever. The staff was unbelievable engaging, kind, approachable, fun, informative and responsible. We loved hearing about all the adventures. I thought there was a great mixture of learning, fun, experimenting, activities, practical stuff like what to do when lost in the woods, fire making… Seriously, best camp on the Coast!”

“Our daughter loved the camp more than any other camp she went to this summer. She was most excited to put into practice the skills she learned.”

“I think the biggest disappointment was no ice cream at The Pier (ha!)”  (Noted! – Staff)

“The boys most anticipated the survival challenge on the final day.”

“The girls had a great time, so much so that they asked to go in again, so they had two weeks!”
