Fall Salmon Viewing Programs 2015
I would like to invite your class to participate in our fall salmon viewing programs!
There will be two salmon viewing opportunities offered:
A) ChapmanCreek– Starts in our classroom at the hatchery to learn about the life and times of the salmon, (including an activity), and then down to the stream to walk, discuss, and view the spawners and the hatchery facility. Total time approx. 2 hours.
B) Angus Creek (in Porpoise Bay Park) – Each participating class will receive a session on salmon life cycle and habitat, under the log shelter at the park, and a walk down Angus Creek to view and discuss the spawners.
The above programs serve as an excellent introduction to our watersheds and their inhabitants, and can be further studied in our year round Water, Wetlands, and Salmon Science programs!
Programs start October 15. Viewing (at the hatchery or Angus Creek) will be offered throughout the fall, your choice of time in the day.
Please phone early to book a spot for your class. If you require more information, contact Dianne Sanford at 604-885-6283 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
