Catch a Fish Day is our second fundraising event, and is usually held on the second Saturday in July.
This is a family day, and parents are invited to bring their children for a chance to catch a couple of trout. For ten dollars each child can catch two rainbow trout, have his or her face painted, take away a helium ballon, and have a hot dog and soft drink. There is also a kid's karaoke set up under a marqui tent.
There is free coffee for the adults and hot dogs, smokies and soft drinks are on sale.

Catch-a-Trout Day 2007
On July the 7th the Society held its annual Catch-a-Trout Day.
The weather was fantastic, and everyone who attended enjoyed themselves. As usual, the children enjoyed the thrill of catching rainbow trout, in addition to face painting and other activities.

Catch-a-Trout Day 2006
On July the 8th the Society held its annual Catch-a-Trout Day. The event was a success, and over $1800 was raised.
The enthusiasm of the participants and the volunteers cannot be understated. One could even hear the children's cries of delight over that of the "guides". And no child went home skunked.
